I put my order in for a black Pearl with ABS and Security on 10/9 for a march dilivery. Figured why make payments on a scoot I cann't ride in the snow. Just found out dilivery date 2/29 Leap year good omen. That is a friday so maybe week early or late no problem. I have never ordered a bike always went in, seen what I liked and drove off. I have always have been an impulse buyer. waiting is a new thing for me makes the bike that much more enjoyable. also without the bike payment I am able to buy assessories and trust methe garage is filling up as fast as the savings is shrinking. It will be a glorious spring that is if the old lady doen't smack me with the new exaust and leave me for dead. Hey what the f@#$ who need to go on a cruise anyway.
I ordered mine a couple of months ago now in Pacific Blue Pearl with ABS and cruise. Like The Old Man's, they did an order change on a bike they had scheduled to be delivered in December with ABS for my bike. I'm still hoping to see it before Christmas, but time will tell.

I know exactly how you feel, Born2cure. I now have four boxes full of stuff to put on the bike and it's not even here yet!

Hi. I have a question regarding York Plant ship dates. I ordered my '08 FLHT about 8 weeks ago. It had and still has a ship date of 12/12 which was this past Wednesday. Unfortunately, neither the bike nor its paperwork has yet arrived at the dealer's yet. It's not that I'll be able to ride the bike anytime soon up here in the Northeast with all the salt and cinders on the road right now, but I'd still like to get it in my garage. Besides, installing the accessories I got for it will keep me busy on those nasty winter days when I can't do anything else.

Anyway, my question is, what was your experience regarding your ship date vs. when your bike actually arrived at the dealership?

Thanks!

HI,Congrats: I orderd mine in September, shipped on Dec. 13th. Crimso Red Sunglo SG !
It as ofyesterday not arrived that I know of.

Well, it's now the 20th and still no bike. The odds of me seeing it by Christmas are getting mighty slim.

I would think your dealer ought to be able to get you an updated status. They obviously didn't make your original 12/12 ship date and the factory has to have a revised date.

Well, that would be the logical assumption, but, unfortunately, the 12/12 ship date is still the one in the system as of yesterday afternoon. [:@]

Ordered my FLHTCU with ABS August 30 with a ship date in November. That was delayed to Dec 14th then delayed to Dec 18th.

What the dealer told me onthe 18th:

Status was changed to "Inventory" which meant it had been built and sitting in warehouse.

Next status would be "Reserved" which meant it was assisgned to a truck.

Next status would be "shipped" which of course meant was on a truck to dealer.

BUT they had just received a bulliten that said no shipments would leave the York plant after December 21st. They would be shutting down for Christmas and would resume shipping January 2nd.

So if they don't get on a truck by Friday afternoon, we won't see our bikes untilJanuary.

Thanks for the info, WH. I'm going to go to my dealer armed with this info and get the details on the status of my bike. I have a feeling the ABS option is the cause of the delay because almost all of the non-ABS bikes have been arriving on time.

I agree about ABS, I think that has been the problem. Unfortunately if your status isn't "Inventory" at this point, it ain't shipping by tomorrow afternoon. Actually I'm ok with mine not arriving at the dealer until after the new year. I really do not want the techs slinging it together when their minds are on the holidays, they are either going to have a hangover or rushing around trying to get one! I know I am!
