Default 95' BB Kit questions

I'm thinking of doing a 95" Kit this winter. I have a 06 RK Custom w/ K&N AF, PCIII and V&H Basic slip ons. The HD dealer suggested 95" cylinder, se211 cam, se prof. heads. I want to stay w/HD to keep the warranty. Any coments on this build; are the SE Prof. heads ported; and what type of true duals should I use?

My suggestion would be to REALLY give this alot of thought. You'll get a whole lot more for your buck with a build say from Head Quarters or elsewhere. I've read too many posts wishing they'd done otherwise AFTER it was done and overwith.

You want be happy with the HD 95. Go to another shop and get a real 95 kit done for much cheaper then HD.

I'm doing an in-depth build on my Road Glide, so I went with the basic HD 95" stage 2 on my Road King for the winter special of $1460 installed. I know it isn't going to be the fastest 95 around (I'm not even doing head work) but I promise not to come on here and gripe about it!!!!

Pick--As for the warranty, unless it's a kit in the HD catalog and specifically says that if the kit is installed by and HD dealer, I doubt that you will have MOCO warranty coverage. If the dealer tells you it does, ask for it in writing. It's common for dealers to "warranty" their own engine work, but that's the dealer's promise, not the MOCO's promise.

Also, if you have the HD Extended Service Plan, by its terms it doesn't cover changes to the drivetrain if it's the same as my ESP that I purchased in Feb. '05.

I just had my bike done at the dealer. Tore it down, found it aleady had 95" pistons in it. (I bought it used andI knew it ran good, but there was no dealer history on this). Used the cash I would have spent on a SE204 cam and had the heads mildly opened for better flow, honed cylinders, new rings, valve seals and lifters. When I got it back iI was thoroughly amazed! Hole shot? No Problem, Front wheel up,? No problem...I guess it depends on who and where you have the work done. The service manager at my dealer raced Harleys for a long time and did pretty well with it. His family owns the dealer. He did the work on my scoot and I am really happy not only with the work and outcome but the price was right...When I get 500 or so miles I'll get a new dyno sheet and post it. Not all SE HD builds are the same and not all dealers are bad...IMO

Don't worry about what these other guys say, get the HD work done and be happy with your new found power. Just don't ride with or on another bike with similar "non" HD builds, because it will make you sick when you feel the difference and the $$$ wasted. Trust me, I've been there-done that!

Jus t picked upa 95 kit at the local dealeron the clearance rack for $386 they said they had to many and were clearinf out some stock also havent sold one in over a year due to the 96 motor models

Anyways i talked to the guys in the back i guy i used to fly with in afganistan he is one of the mech's he also confirmed any cam work will void the warranty but most dealers will not tell the moco what cams are in the bike when they call in repairs

I will due my 95 kit after march when my factory warranty expires

havent decided on the cams yet i need to due some more research
