Why not go with a PM six piston caliper for the left side, shave the caliper mounts on the right side lower then send the lowers out to be chromed???

Sublime,
That's what I did! I'm in pretty tight with my local dealer, Parts Manager GAVE me a set of lowers and cowbells, shaved the one side, sent to chromer..never missed a day of riding! Gonna hang on to my other lowers/cowbells in case any of my buddies want to chrome a set.

Installed a 6 piston PM caliper, 13" rotor...SWEEET!

You are spending all of the money but you are not even addressing the actual workings of the front suspension? I know you can not see performance, safety and comfort but in my opinion, I would rather have a bike that works well than a bike that just look good. The better part is when you have the bike apart you can put in the good components. If you know how, try the Gold emulators w/springs for the cheapest, cartridgesmore money or a new front end that really works for the most amount of money. This is a suggestion only and since it is your bike, you should build it for your needs only. Who am I or anyone else for that matter?

Might not be the right place to ask this question but has anybody with abs changed to a single disc up front? Can it even be done because of the ecm.

Chromed front end is a great looking upgrade, but while you are in there put in some progressive suspension and enhance you handling.
