Default remove my skins

going to remove my skins on my 03 rkc to get painted any tips will be helpfull or do i need any special tools

Most folks don't have a 36mm wrench/socket for the rear axle, and the rear tire must be removed (or at least dropped) to reach the front bolt of the rear fender.

You won't need any really special tools to remove the 'tins', except for that big wrench for the rear axle. You will be removing both wheels and tires and disconnecting fuel lines and electrical wires from the gas tank. What you DO need is a FACTORY shop manual. Forget that Clymer's junk. The manual will walk you through every step and provide the proper torque specs to put it back together correctly. You'll be dealing with some critical fasteners and you want to be sure they're tightened correctly. At least with the Classic, you won't be dealing with dismantlinga fairing.

"TINS" straight forward R&R... Just make sure the fuel tank is all the way empty as it can lead to a mess (lol)
