I have a 2004 electra glide classic and I am considering installing cruise, my question is would HD
use the same wiring harness between the classic and the ultra classic or would the harnesses be different?

Which harness since there are mutliple harnesses: main, interconnect, handlebar, ultra audio, etc.?
For purposes of installing the HD cruise control kit for your '04, it will be a plug and play installation electrically speaking; you do have to install new right handlebar switches (included in the kit) and a fairing cap switch (included in the kit).
I installed HD's cruise control on my '04 Electra Glide police model using the HD kit--relatively easy DIY project.

They use to have a kit for the 00 EG Standard but I did not see it online anymore.
Anyone know if it's still available? I've got mine stripped to the backbone right now for paint and it would be a great time to add it.

I NEVER thought that I would want/need or enjoy a cruise on my Harley - However, last birthday I was 57 and life has decided to throw a little arthritis in my hands... Being able to set the cruise and relax that right hand REALLY helps extend the riding day and make it just that more fun... Well worth the investment...

I added cruise to my 05 EGC. Like others saidall connectors are on the harness.
After installation you will need to "initialize" the system or you will have a time lag during engagement. I have them saved at home. PM me if you cannot find the instuctions.
