Default Engine Guard Mount Fog Lights

Have an '06 Road King and am considering installing a set of the HD Engine GUard Mount Fog Lights. Has anyone got suggestions good / bad?

I have them on my EG, hid the wires in the engine guard for a nice clean look.

I like mine.I also ran my wires internally and it makesthem look alot cleaner.Take the engine guard off and it will make the job much easier. So will an extra set of hands.I installed my fog lights mainly to help other vehicles see me better because most of my riding is in the daytime, but they do help at night.

I put them on my RKC. I like them, really good for extra light at night and good vis form others during the day. Search the forum on how to wire it up so that you can use it with the high beams.

Peacekeeper, when you wire them up, don't bother to pull the gas tank as described in the instructions.....It's too big a pain and there is a mo-easy way.

Simply lift the dash and run the harness on the right side then down under the front lip of the seat into the cavity where it plugs into stock harness. It will save you hours of time and look factory.

I've got them and I love them. They have a very sharp top cut off edge that makes aiming them easy. You can direct them rather high before you need worry about blinding oncoming traffic. They also throw lots of light to each side.

Yeah, wire them up to where they can remain on with high beams, but be sure to include (supplied) switch that will allow you to turn them off.

Have you looked at those moto lights? They mount off the fender or brake calipers, and I think they come with lifetime replacement of the bulbs. I think they are pretty sharps.

For the MONEY the HD Fog lights are the best deal. They work great, send out light to the sides and front.

+1 for TX_RG on the HD fog lamps. I've had them on my '04 EG for 2+ years/40K milesand they are an outstanding lighting value--55W each and excellent chrome--and a lot of light, especially to the side--very, very noticeable to cagers which is why I leave mine on all the time.
