I have a 07 ultra classic, i need to know if anyone has had problems playing burned cd in there stereo, when i play a burned cd it plays but then it stops for a couple seconds then plays again, it does that over and over. I have no problems playing real cd only does it with burned cd's.
Is there a certain type of rewritable cd's thati have to use?
I have had that problem many times before; I have pretty much solved by burning them with the software on Yahoo music--for some reason the HK unit likes that burn as opposed to the other burn software.
It is more likely a software problem. Some files are corrupted before the burning onto a CD, and the player hits them and stops. I used rewritable cd's (CD-RW).
I do music big time. I've built my own DAW(digital audio workstation) andburned several thousand CD's, but there was a distinct learning curve involved.
Start with a top quality burner like a Plextor, then use top quality discs, and of course the best software.....Nero 6 is one of the best.....Once I got those items, no more coasters.
Oh, and make sure you got plenty of RAM and also shut down all other unecessary programs before you burn.
If you have a acc plug on your radio go get a mini mp3 player like the sanse clip ($44.00 for 2gb at best buy) and load it up with music. A little double stick tape and short wire from radioshack and no more changing cds.
I have noticed-discussing with other riders-that certain year models require different blank disc's.
Try a different type disc. I have problems with the black disc's but a friend has problems with the ones I use. If that is not it check for a update. My radio plays everything but black disc's and and not all causes me problems.
