We decided to take the new Ultra loaner out to go Christmas shoping today, 250 miles later we had gotten no shopping done but we did get a first ride in. It is a 2007 loaner while awaiting my 2008 to come in. I didn't have a manual but evreything was pretty intuitive, managed to get everything working as it was supposed to. From the Riders Seat everything was fine and comfortable. My wife was a different story, She complained about the seat. She said her legs were very uncomfortable and there wasn't enough room. I know there is an aftermarket extension to move the tour pak bac and that the passenger pegs can be adjusted. She complained of pain and discomfort in the hips and thighs, Is the passenger stock seat that bad or is this an isolated incident Has anyone else experienced that and is there a fix. Another question that hopefully someone will have an answer to is a lower cord connection from the Harley intercom connection to an Air Rider headset. upper cord. I have sent Air Rider a message but probably won;t hear from them until after the first of the year. i would like to be able to make use of the intercom and headsets when I get the bike on Monday. Fingers crossed.
you can also move the tourpak/backrest back a couple of inches with no cost, there are 2 sets of holes in it, it is in the forward position stock..... as for the seat, yes, it is a good idea to replace or odify them if going any real distance, and the seat on the 2008 is so different than the 2007...
Don't know if they make a Road Zep seat yet for the '08s, but my wife at 5'8" loves the Zep and after raising the rear boards up to the top notch, she is very happy on the back now.
As gene01 said move the tour pak back. I sent my seat out to meancitycycles and had memory foam mod installed in the passenger seat as well as rider seat. This makes a big difference per my girl and will cost alot cheaper than buying a new seat.

Do Road King passenger pegs have adjustments on them as well or do you have to "Buy" peg risers? my wife is 5'4" and kids are 4'6" or so this year...
Don't know, but look at where the pegs mount to the bike. The top hole on mine had a small plastic plug in it.when i used this hole at the top, it it raised the board enough to make the wife happy, and I didn't have to spend the extra $ to buy HD or someother board relocater.
