You can certainly get carried away with cb radios. I have so much cb stuff in my building That it takes up 4 10 foot shelves. Everything form 600 watt mobile amps to 1,000 watt base amps and then theres all those radios just sitting there. Plenty of old stuff that I will not ever use anymore.
I did think about putting my texas star 600 watt on the bike but then I would have to replace battries every week not to mention all the stators I would go through. How would one wrap the ing. so the engine would stay running.
LOL
I see no need to have a super range of 25 to 100 + miles when I am simply wanting to tell the rider next to me I have to pee or there is a large rock in the road.
If I want to talk to someone 100 miles away I'll stop and call them on my cell phone.
Neither do I. I use those ummm, what are they called ???? Oh yeah. Hand signals. Work great and use no electricity.
I have no idea if the CB on my 06 Ultra works or not. Turned it off the day I picked the bike up and ain't looked back.
