Default RE: Sound Difference between Thunderheader & Fatcat

I've had a couple FatCats (got my first one in 2002, when they first came out). I bought a T-Header for my black RG because it was the only black one available at that the time. THe T-header has a more "traditional" sound, but the FatCat has a very "racey" aggressive sound ~ espically on bulds w/increased compression and after mkt cams.

Between the two.... "For me" ~ NO Question: FATCAT.

On my 120 build, I'm going w/it's big Bro... the Boarzilla ~ I just hope the pipe's not too big for the motor.

i've run the Fatcat and my buddy has the t-header...for sound i like the t-header .........the best for performance i'm not convinced that there is a significant difference unless you're going to race the bike for time...i'dgo with the t-header for a little throatier more mellow sound on the open road. but as stated above...if it's hp/torque performance you're interested in the fatcat may be your best bet.

I have the fat cat, and I think the thunderheader sounds better. But after seeing few TH that are a couple years old on bikes, I would never purchase one. They look like crap.

Hey Bro,
I have a FatCat on my SE Ultra 110 with standard baffle and sound is very crisp and distinct at full throttle. I have the Thunderheader on my Street Glide 96 and it is very mellow and deep and has real nice deep tone at full throttle. Power comes on late in the RPMs where as the FatCat is right on from when you twist the wick. May swap to the FC on the SG at some point down the road. Hope the info helps,
TimBone
