It took me a year to get used to the heel shifter, now I like it.

Why didn't I think of that. Will try moving the heel shifter forward, cannot stand the location of heel shifter. Big feet get in the way.

Merry Christmas

I did like jungleplant did, I call it breaking the shift down Only Harleys have seperate pieces for the toe and heel shift levers. I put them so there is just enough travel to push down and get a gear shift with the toe, and the same for the heel, as you don't need to get under either of them. I also have my foot so it is sort of at a angle when not shifting, and they are not in the way. Once you get used to it you won't want to shift with the toe only. Once I am moving in high gear or steady in one gear I throw my feets onto the highway bar pegs and stretch out and cruise. Don't matter then how big your feets are! Unless they are so big they cause air pressure that slows ya down! Ha! Merry Christmas to all the brothers and sisters in wars all over the world, and the brothers and sisters on two or three wheels enjoying the freedom others are dying to keep for us. Keep the shinny side up!

Ain't a Sporster that wants any of this old mans bagger, I love it when they come up reving their little engines, and off the line we go, and they see nothing but tour pak rear end, she won't do a wheelie, but she will get side ways with ya if you don't keep it under control, nothing like a badass bagger. I have been riding for over 30 years, this is my favorite ride, hands down!

Jungleplant... got a pic?

Lil gmac... where did you get your extenders?

I love the heel shifter... although it has taken a little getting used to with my 13s

I hated my heel shifter so took it off. I don't know if there is extended ones in the after market world or not, but I'll give you the brand new one I took off and you could take it to a shop and have them make you a custom one.
+1

THe heel shifter was always in my way, and I use the back of the floorboard a lot for loading weight in the turns - for those time when more... ahem... "spirited" riding is in order.
