I thought for sure someone by now would have asked if the
"hell toe shifter" was the one with flames instead of a rubber pad.....[8D]

Removed the heel shifter, and now have more room on the floorboard. It was one of the first changes I made.

I was very use to having a heal/toe shifter. The way mu Ultra floor boards even with my extenisons I wasn't comfortable. I seem to get my pants leg caught on the heal shifter so I took it off. Took about a week to get use to it. Now I prefer just a toe shifter. I went to a salavge yard and picked up a piece of stainless round stock for $5 cut it to proper size drilled to fit overy my shifter shaft, polished and was done.
Each to their own

It seem like some of the guys like the heel shifter... I never did or I never got used to it. I take them off of the bike the first day I get it.

While ridingback from Sturgis I ran into a guy named Slag. He had just won second place in a contest for the best product for a Harley. I wear a size 12 and am going to pick one of these up. http://www.slickshifters.com/ Might be what your looking for. I like my heel shifter too and I also ride a Buell where I don't have one. I traded bikes with a friend and he had taken his heel shifter off and it was so wierd. Of course he really hated he couldn't get his toe under the front lever!! Anyway check out the link and let us know what you think.
