I will br gettig my SG in March. Had my wife sit on one at Dealership and she was NOT impressed, plus the fact that I am only 5'6 my heels are barely touching so I will be changing to the Reach seat that will drop me as well as bring closer to bars. The pillion loks much more comfy for the passenger. Not as pretty as stock but what can you do...
How do you like yopur bike so far, man I can hardly wait.
With the stock seat a backrest is a neccessity for passenger because the stock seat slope down and back which causes them to slide backwards. If it was flatter it might not be so bad.
Harley makes something called a "reach" seat... not sure how low profile it is... but designed to get you a little closer to the pavement... Definitely pony up for a backrest... My SO's only complaint on the test ride was the feeling that she was sliding off the back.. We went the Sundowner route... Not as low profile and not super cool looking, but boy it's comfy!
If I was going to go smaller than the stock seat on my street I would get a solo. Any two person seat smaller than the stock one wont be worth much for a passenger. My wife won't ride the stock one. I have a sundowner also, it is a little larger but like GOSTAZ said it is comfy.
