I was putting on my new handelbars last night when for some reason or another I put the switch back in and turned it a little to see if the power would come up but it wouldn't, well I just pulled it back out and finished the installing the bars, after the install I started to put the key switch back in permanent and [:@], I almost lost it, I knowed what I had done, I worked over a hour to get that silly thing back where all the switch's line up so the key switch would fall back into place and lock back in, , I know it's my fault but man that was a pain in the ole rectom to fix.
Any who the bars are on and man what a difference, feels like a differnt bike, I'll have to learn to ride that beast all over again.
Just looking at your SG. I should be getting mine in March. Looking at your seat I see that you changed, which model did you use? Does your better half find It comfortable? Is the backrest removable? Man i cant wait to ride.
Out of curiosity, which bars did you install and were you able to use the stock cables?
I used the touring pull back handelbar, part # 55914-98, no I didn't have yo buy any cables, had to reroute the clucth cable though, pain in the rear to get the bracket off that holds the clucth lever on, but after that, I had to rebend the brake line a little to get it to stretch out, not the best looking in the world but it will do for a brake line I guess, other than that and the misque with the key switch not bad at all.

The seat is made by Mustang. It's their one-piece smooth touring seat, p/n 75464. I got it through M&M Cycles for about $320 if I remember correctly. It is extremely comfortable for both me and my wife. It take a lot of the harshness out of the stock SG ride (caused by the lowered suspension).
The backrest is the Harley detachable - straight out of the catalog. The stock seat sucks, but then again, so do the stock seats on most bikes. Even the stock seat on my Gold Wing was lousy.
