The first time I took my young son for I ride I noticed that nearly every car I passed was waving. When we stopped at a traffic light I noticed his shadow on the street, he was waving like he was in a parade. When I asked him what he was doing he said he said " I'm not sure if I know anyone so I'm waving at everyone just in case"

Since I obviously couldn't argue with his logic I just smiled and let the waves go on.

Good question: I was riding in my White Mountains and huge motorcade of motcops running in a tight formationwere up on a training exercise (I found out later), and I held my hand down as we passed the whole bunch,and the last two were really good about waving... it was sorta like: "The Captain is in front and can't see us, so we wanta wave to a fellow HD rider"....
