Default Help with paint color

I am looking for the paint code or at least name of my paint on my 05 RK Custom. It is a factory 1 of 100 paint job. My bill of sale from the HD dealer says gold. HARDLY. It is more of a burnt orange, copper color. Anyone know where I can find it at. Have searched the web but came up empty.

First of all, that is an incredibly great looking bike. If you are looking to find paint for your bike, you may be interested in this link: http://www.cyclecolor.com/. They will be able to help you out. Hope this helps.

I agree with tjmac49, but if all is lost, take it to your local auto parts store where they mix paint and have them take a pic with there camera and they should be able to tell you what it is called....

They will be able to get you a color thats a blendable match with the camera in most cases. If it's a Tri-coat which it looks to be they might not even be able to do that.

If it's a factory color there should be some kind of build sheet that would give you that information. Don't get caught up in the name of the paint I seen cases where the name doesn't describe the paint at all. If you get the formula see what toners make up the mix and it will give you a good idea what your looking at.

By the way, great paint and good looking bike.

I appreciate the help. I am wanting to paint a couple of odd & end dodads on it and would really like it to match. I assume the build sheet should have come with the bike. I dont think I have one.

Did you buy the bike in 05? (i.e. is that a 2005 custom paint set from HD?)
