Is that the norm or just a lot of winter upgrade projects on a very popular bike? I assume that uses the same detachable docking hardware that apassenger backrest would use?
Now you can order all the other stuff for the tour pak. Like the lock and key for your bike. The side lights, rear lights, rackand back rest. Think about it the tour pak was the cheap part.
it uses differect quick detach points than the back rest. part of the reason they say it takes so long is because of the color. i believe you have to wait for them to paint your color because they only paint 1 or 2 colors at a time.
Same time to wait for just primer. They only sent out the rejected bike part so look it all over before leaving the dealer. All good are put on the new bikes. If you look real good you can find the bad area or just read the reject sticker before dealer put it off.
congrats, Hope you get it soon. I got a (Matusu) after looking all over the net and on ebay. I figured most of the time I would want it on anytime as I ride year round and do shopping with mine so, I wasn;r in need of the docking I just had to fab a little and I am pretty happy with it for $300 with the passenger backrest.
