I almost went with the Stealth on my 08 Ultra, but ended up with what that catalog calls the "chrome and rubber"...the way the rubber strips run on the Stealth might be a little slippery when wet. With the rubber running in the other direction on the chrome and rubber I thought I might get enough chrome, but still have pretty good grip at the same time. Went with the matching brake and shifter pads, also replaced the shifter levers and brake lever, went with the chrome pan for the passenger floorboards and the adjustable mounting kit...my wife has short legs and needed more options for adjustment. Its all pricy, so like you I only wanted to do it once.

You're right. The Ultra is a blank canvas. Many options! Some chrome collections are more modern looking than others. You had a nostalgic bike before. Do you want to stick with that look and feel, or do you want to make it more up-to-date?

My Classic is getting a more contemporary treatment, but still more classic looking than an FLHX.I went with the narrow band billet collection. Shiny, contemporary, andclassy at the same time.

I just went with the Nostalgics for my Front and Rear boards, shifter pegs and break pedal, and coupled them with chrome covers for the backs of the passenger boards and the chrome and rubber grips. It looks fantastic I love it very much. The only thing I don't like is that there are no matching nostagic pegs. So when I do highway pegs I will have to use something that matches well like the chrome and rubber pegs that match my grips. By the way the reason that I did not use nostagic grips is that I think they are way to plain just tons of rubber.

I did style on the 03, but on the 08 I'm all in to COMFORT, it don't really matter around town, but for the long haul I went with the Kury touring ISO boards, they match the fold down passenger pegs and have LOTS of room to stretch out and move around, really love em even if they do look like wings.

My SG came with several Streamliner parts, so when I upgraded the passenger pegs to boards I went that route. I also used Streamliner styled shifter pegs, so it all matches now.

Looks really clean and nice.

+1

I did the same. When I removed the passenger pegs to install the matching floorboards I picked up hiway peg mounts and used the passenger pegs for hiway pegs. Everything matches and since a lot of it was already there it kept the price down.

I didn't vote, because my option wasn't there.

Personally, I'd go with KuryakynCruise Boards for the Engine Guard. http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp...ey&ci=3244

I'm a big fan of Kuryakyn products and if not for the fact that the Street Glide came with pegs that were all too easy to use as Highway Pegs after installing passenger footboards, I'd have gone with them.
