Yesterday I ordered a detachable two-up tour pak rack, birch white king tour pak and the complete lock set up keyed to my key number for my EG police ,it comes with side lights and is not drilled for a back rest,my question is this, where the tour pak isn't drilled for a back rest, can i mount a different back rest other than the arm chair look? was thinking a back rest for a chopped pak not looking for the bulk of a big back rest, more or a cleaner simple back rest, 99% of the time i'm riding by myself,so passenger comfort isnt a issue ,i was even thinking of leaving the back rest off all together, because there arent any holes drilled for a back rest,but...... think it might look wrong/out of place some how,lol
I've got 8-10 weeks to figure out this back rest thing, seems HD is behind on their paint to match items ,I ordered from zanotti's $678.00 delivered to my door (king tour pak,2-up detach rack, lock set up,shipping) my stealer wanted $800.00 + so i think i did ok on price
You will like some sort of back rest back there for sure. It's your tourpack. Drill the holes and mount the backrest....your passenger will appreciate it a lot. I would not want a hard fiberglass box slamming my back on a ride.
