Flush mount fuel cap issue

Has anyone experience problems opening their flush mount fuel cap? Getting mine to pop up has been an issue. Spent 20 minutes at the pump yesterday trying to get it open. Any solutions? Thanks...

Rinse it clean on the bottom every once ina while. I had a popup cap on my sportster that would do that, dried gas is the culprit.

I struggled with that as well. Someone showed me to just use my index finger, run it from 12 o'clock position across button downward to 6 o'clock position and it somehow works every time (for me, anyways).
