Yep, pop them off and put the new ones on. Belive it or not the book says to use a penny (genuine top notch engineering there huh.) in the slot to pop them off.
I changed the ones on the back with the red brake/turn signal combo, but the ones on the front do not have the little slot. I will change them to the clear ones next time I get to the store.
I put white on the front with orange bulbs, cut the blue line so that they only are on when I hit the switch, and put smoked on the rear with also orange bulbs.
