never dropped a bike...jack knifed one and flew over the handle bars...but never dropped one. My wife...drops her bike once a year...have to remind her, the green light in the middle is neutral...should be lit before you start it...[8D]

Dropped mine in my driveway right in front of my wife! The slow turn, front brake deal got me. The whole time I was fighting it and the bike went down in slow motion. The whole time my wife was yelling, "What are you doing?????"
No damage, but a small scrape on bottom of engine guard. Valuable lesson.
I did pick it back up, but didnt really have a good answer for my wife.
&nbsp\\;
that is too funny! typical wife or GF response to a traumatic moment. I laughed my *** off on this post.

Always put the kickstand down before you get off. Ask me how I know.
It is possible to spin a donut on the jiffy stand when you discover there are no safety switches on a pre-'07 Harley.....and you inadvertantly hit the start button when checking turn signals and your bike is in gear.....

That's funny I can believe I haven't done that before

I dropped my Ultra twice. The person who said to think about how IMO is right on the money. After the 2nd time I realized that it was super slow turn&nbsp\\;when I stalled it. Leaning the bike&nbsp\\;even slightly for&nbsp\\;the turn and the power goes away is not a good combination! I also have to remember that when coming off the duce not to think I can sling the Ultra around. It is considerably heaver and the point of no return is a much less of an angle.

Funny this should come up...

This afternoon, I was trying to even out my highway pegs. I asked my wife to simply "straighten it up" - Already had it on a 2x4, so it only need to swing up a couple inches.

And over it went...

Luckily, my wife didn't get hurt. I never would've heard the end of it...

Luckily for ME, it sort of "propped itself" on the pegs, floorboards, tires. Nothing ever actually hit the ground. I had the saddlebag guards installed on the bike the day before I picked it up - But those didn't hit - Nor did the corner of the bag.

Going to check the floorboard though... It "gave" as it should, but after I pushed it down, it was still way out of whack. Had to almost stand on it to get it back to normal. Didn't feel right... I wonder if the actual mount moves some if it goes over that far...

Something to pick up though... Fell just short of my toolbox, racks, etc. Not really enough room to get into a good position. Had to get some help to right it again. Heavy freakin' bike...

By all the way over, do you mean "Flat, laying on it's side??"

No, generally it won't.&nbsp\\; It will stop before going all the way over on to it's side.&nbsp\\; The engine guard and saddlebag guards prevent it from going further.
yep 2 or 3 times and not a scratch
