I've dropped my 97 Road King 3 times; got to watchthose sharp slow speed turns. First time it broke my foot plate support and the other two just scuffed up the bottom of my crash bar. Will agree onwatching ride like a pro video, always something new to learn about riding andhow to pick up your bike without hurting yourself. I don't know how anyonemanuvers their bike with a set of ape hangers on it; practice I guess.

Always put the kickstand down before you get off. Ask me how I know.

Do not lean the bike when its going slow, try to keep the bike upright and use the handle bars more to turn while you are going slow..
Try not to use the front brakes as much when you are going slow. We have a habit of leanin the bike when we turn.
If you are going slow and lean a little or touch the front brakes it will drop cause it don't have the throttle to hold the bike up.
Well, two out of three isn't bad......

It is possible to spin a donut on the jiffy stand when you discover there are no safety switches on a pre-'07 Harley.....and you inadvertantly hit the start button when checking turn signals and your bike is in gear.....

I dont understand how you drop all your bikes. I've been riding for 20 years and never dropped a bike. Maybe you just need to slow down or just be more aware I dont know not gonna pass judgement on you fo rit just don't understand. I see lots of people seem to think dropping a bike is normal. Growing up in the biker world my dad NEVER dropped his when i was growin up. He had a 1968 triumph chopper sure wish i had that bike today. But I would just say be carefull and you shouldn't drop it. I have an EG knock on wood never dropped it. Well good luck and enjoy the ultra you will LOVE it.

Two types of bikers....Those that have dropped their bikes, and those that will. Better knock twice....your day is yet to come!

I've been fortunate that in 41 years I've not had an accident (injury or damage) but I certainly have dropped bikes....including getting blown over on the way to Sturgisat a stop sign in Chamberlain, SD, by a wind gust roaring through the river valley.

I dropped mine practicing Ride Like a Pro.

I can maneuver better than all my buddies now as a result ofpracticing and tipping over a couple times. I don't even notice now when I make a u-turn in a parking lot and expect my friends to follow me. Often I'm waiting at the exit onto the street and they're still behind me walking their bikes or in other ways looking foolish. Someday I want to take a motocop class. I strive to be able to maneuver like some of the guys on this forum can.
