I am no v-twin wrench by any means, but I know as a teenager we always put headders and duals on our hot rods to get the exhaust out faster and make more power.
It seems that the general mindset in here is that 2 into 1 make better power.
Is this really the case.
I am waiting for the T-max to come out for the 08's and I have the SE II race mufflers on now. I am just wondering if before I add the T-max, would i get better performance from a 2 into 1 setup or true duals??
I like the two pipe look so I would go with a ghost pipe if I did the 2 into 1 but like the idea of true duals as well.
And if go with true duals, are they making them now with holes for the 02 semsors?
I have had both set ups but the true duals in my opinion sound and look better, performance? I guess once I build a big motor then I will look into 2 into 1 maybe..
I did both. 2 into 2 made 95 hp and 90 tq after tune, 2 into 1 super trapp super meg made 100hp/101tq with out any other changes after a tune. Now I run a zippers mm conversion and it still runs great.
I've been told that the new Rineharts have the O2 bungs in them now. I've also been told that they fixed a bracket problem they use to have with a new clamp.
I think the new V&H's are as well, but I'm not sure. Rineharts are for sure from what my trusty Indy tells me.
What Steve said. I had V&H Tru Duals and Ovals. Just did a high comp 95 in build and added the D&D Fatcat 2/1.
I love the low end pull and slowly getting use to the unbalanced look. They sell a ghost pipe but it's over $200 for a piece of dead weight.
