Front Fender Removal
I have an 07 street glide and I am trying to remove the front fender. I have the front wheel off the axel I thought the wheel would just drop right down. Ha well I was wrong. The tire is to big to pass the brake calipers. How do you get the front fender off touring models. Do I have to remove the front wheel. What needs to come off. I need this info now and I haven't recived the shop manual yet. Help would be great on how to safely remove

Remove the 12 point 10mm bolts that secure the caliper to the forks. Once removed, wrap the calipers in a rag and place them securely over your highway pegs or engine guard. The rags help prevent scratches on lowers or engine guard. You could simply let the calipers hang, but itâs not a good idea because it places stress on the brake lines. Now that the calipers are removed, DO NOT squeeze the front brake lever, as it could force the pistons out and you would need to take apart the calipers to reassemble.

When i took my scoot apart to paint it, i didnt have to take the wheel off, i just unbolted the fender and it came right out without any
kind of problems.

I have the wheel off now the only problem with taking the wheel off for the first time is that those ugly brake rotors are staring you down and yelling polish me!!!
