http://www.edsets.com is another viable alternative. Ed stands behind his product and, IMHO, his headsets Rival, and I feel, sound even better than those of J&M, and, also costs less.
I have 2 of the "Sonic N Vader" series and love them.
contacted Ed and he doesn't make a headset for the HD, too bad, had his on my wing and they are great....
OK, you are speaking of adjusting the VOX setting for the CB, I can't find this adjustment??????or is the VOX setting for the intercom the same for the CB????
Also, on my 98 and 03 ( older radio system) there was a setting for adjusting the mute on the radio, in how much mute the radio would do when you activate the intercom, it this missing from the new system??????
The VOX adjustment is for the Intercom. The CB is a PTT (Push To Talk) on the left handlebar controls, and one also for the Passenger in the back.
Thanks, that's what I thought, no adjustment for the CB headsets....what about the mute issue????
Also, just spoke with J&M service about background noise and short in left speaker, they said send it back for a look see...will advise when headset is returned.
Hi, I haven't been able to get a response on whether the AutoCom should work with the stock HD system. I'd hate to have to have two sets of helmets for my two bikes. And I already dropped the $$$s for the AutoCom system and it's neatly tucked under the seat of my Softail.
I plugged them up, but only the left channel works (rider only) and the mics don't seem to work at all.
