I'm trying to sting the cable but the bottom drain hole seems to be so far off that I cant fit the hex endthrough...ideas?

You'll love it. I know I did when I installed mine in December. Gave a whole new level of comfort and, I swear, feel in better control of the scoot. Kinda of more part of the bike.

I just installed one on my RG. I should have done this sooner. What a difference. I had a little trouble with the flange nut for the bracket but got it.

Has any one used the heat shields with the adjustable back rest? Could the adjustment lever be reached?

I just finished that installation today on a 2008 Anniversary Ultra. There's enough room between the adjustor and the harley heat shield. It's a tight fit though when tightening the buttenhead bolts. I don't know if the seats are different but the backrest is a pain to insert into the bracket; and when the backrest is folded forward, it really distorts the seat. Guess I got spoiled when I had the Saddleman Road Sofa and backrest on the '04 Ultra.

On another forum someone used a dremel to cut out a portion of the heat shield and inserted the adjustor into the shield. http://forums.delphiforums.com/elect...es?msg=19858.4He used the bracket to trace the outline onto the heat shield.

Actually they fit just fine. Here's a photo of them on my EGC with the adjustable backrest handle in place. Tons of room and easy to reach with the RJ shields on.
