Anyone have a set of these-Kuryakyn #928 or 929? They bolt to the outside of the forks (same holes as the light bar) and allegedly offer easy access to strap down the beast (Ultra)for a trailer ride. I havemanaged to get my Classic tied down but haven't triedthe Ultra, there just seems to be more in the way.
Nah, ya'll woodn't need 'em. Funny thing, when I lived in Austin for 20 years I never rode:'too big a city' I said when I sold the bikes before moving there. Also was more fun to play in the water during that hot summer.MN braggs about theirlakes but they ain't got nuthin over TX lakes.
Anyway, moved to MN and now can't get enough riding.
Just got back from a 2 week trip down South with the 07 Ultra in tow. Located the tear drop tie downs for ~$38. Slickest thing I've seen for tieing down the beast.I could load or unload, by myself, in a few minutes - took longer to hang up the straps than to unbuckle the bick. For anyone with need for trailering I'd recommend giving them a look.
Sure worked to get my Spring riding fix ahead of the snow melt in MN.
I tried to order directly from Kuryakyn but they were back ordered. Stopped by my local dealer, St. Paul H-D, MN, and they had 'em on the rack. That was mid-Mar. Their phone number is 651-738-2168; ask for John in parts.
