Default Rush 2 Piece Slip-Ons

Anyone have any feedback on Rush two piece slip-ons, 1.5 or 1.75 baffles, for touring bikes?
I'm hoping they may be a bit quieter than the one piece.
I am waiting for a reply from Rush.

I'll be looking for feedback here as well. I bet if they are not any quieter, they my sound a little more solid or thumpier from the end cap being that it is thicker than the muffler body. Maybe not. I know whenI bought the SuperTrapp SE's I seriously considered the Rush 2 piece but couldn't find anyone around that had them to listen to.

I'm surprised as popular Rush is, that nobody seems to have tried their two piece mufflers.
I did get a response from Rush though:
"Hello Chuck,The 1.5 are just slightly louder than the stock mufflers, our most popular for Touring motorcycles are the 1.75" they do produce a nice deep throaty sound, probably what you're looking for.As far as any sounddifference between the Tip Compatible and the one piece designs, there is none."

Just put a set of 2.50's on and be done with it. How do you plan on upsetting your neighbors with 1.5's. [:@]LOL.
Seriously, I don't see where everyone thinks the 2.50's are too loud. I keep hoping RUSH will come out with something louder than the 2.50's.

Get the one peice and like the post above said be done with it. You will be happy. They are good pipes. I think all the baffle sizes sounds about the same. It dosen't really matter for sound its going to be your performance when you go to get them tuned.

I'm interested in the two piece because I like the looks of them. If they were a bit quieter that would be a plus is all.
I'm thinking like Rodent, too, I don't think there's a noticible sound difference between most of them. I'm leaning toward the 1.75 two piece with the double groove.
It's all about a littlerumble and being able tohear the tunes, these days.

The link is cool, but they all sounded the same to me. I should get tomorrow the Rush 2.25 from www.motosport.com and they were $240. with free 2 day shipping, they should go on the Thursday night.

I can't say one good word about the two piece pipes other than the tips are high quality. I've gone through three sets and either the back end of the pipe is out-of-round, the cap holes are not centered with the mounting post or the mounting post are welded crooked. Also, I have one that blued. I'm sending Rush an email tonight to get to the bottom of this.

As far as sound, I have the 2" baffles and after burn-in they sound great. Ears ring a bit after a long ride though. Just installed FuelMoto's custom baffles today and can't comment about the sound until they are burned-in this weekend. I will say the first thing I noticed was that there was much more heat on the right side of the bike from installing the custom baffles. More later....
