Default Remove Wax From Jugs/Engine Block!

OK, I keep my bike well poliched, however, when cleaning up the chrome on the engine, there are some white spos on the black textured surface of the block/cooling fins. Tried to clean up ASAP w/ a brush, but you can still seeit. Any sugggestions how to remove the polish from the black textured surface?

Had you tried brake cleaner? I don't know if the black paint would hold up, though...

I usedSIMPLEGREEN on mine. Put it in with a stiff nylon brush. It got lots better, but still showed a bit. Then again, mine was like a giant terd onaconna it dripped down from above.
Big 'l white glob of wax.
Anyway, finally can't see it at all, and did not hurt the pourous black.....

Spray a little S100 Engine Brightner on the spot on the black wrinkle and it looks just like new.

Pig Spit works good, or mineral spirits would do the trick.

plain old dish soap....recommended by zaino to strip wax off tanks, just mix it up strong and let it soak

S100 is the best choice. Brake cleaner and other products will 'fade' the black,

Mine came back from the dealer with some white wax spots on the black of the engine cases,i used a tooth brush to scrub it off ,and sprayed the S-100 engine brightner to cover the rest ,worked great!
