I know tourpack can be regulated a little bit on their rails but i think mine its on the limityet at the end .
Are 2008 ultras different than before ??
I've a lot of friends alsowith previous ultras with no complains as far as i know. .
I don't know ifis the tourpack, or its the rear seat or both toguether, but i purchased this bike to ride toguethera lot of miles , and now she prefers to ride with ourheritage04 with the back rest, as amore rightwithfree space position for the passenger
Any similar experience, ideas , suggestions how to solve this i hope smallproblem ????
Move tourpack back if you already have no done so. Theres also extension availablefor your tourpack that will move it back a extra inchfurther than the factory settings. Adjustable passenger pegs will alsogive her two more postion to relax her legs.
Do a search for George Anderson tourpac relocator. He makes a really nice kit for about $130.00 that can move it back another1 1/2 or 2 1/2 inches. You may want to ask him if his kits will work on an '08. I have one on my '07. Wife really appreciated it.
I'm going to purchase an Ultra this summer, just waiting so the checkbook can handle it, anyway I have a goldwing and I am wondering if the passengers room is smaller on the Ultra. My wife said the wing is so comfortable but she also wants the Ultra. Thanks
I think the amount of room on the 08 is subject to the size of the 2nd load i mean lady. I am a biggie at 6'2" and 285 but my wife is small and she likes the fact that she feels like she won't fall off. There is only one way to know for sure, Buy it and is she don't like it get a solo seat.
Freebiker Here is George Anderson #309-762-6291 Home. This is the guy that makes relocator kits for the tour pak . This should help you with your problem. Give him a call , heard he's a great guy.
I cured this problem mainly because I have two different seats and couldn't get to the screw to remove it with my corbin mounted, I purchased the quick disconnect kit for the trunk took the horseshoe shaped mounting piece that the trunk sets on and moved it down an inch or so on the bottom mounting piece, marked the new holes and drilled it out, put some clear silicone on the new holes so they won't rust up then mounted it all up, now the trunk is back an inch or inch an half from where it was, more room for the wife and I can get to the seat screw on the fender.
