The "spears" ,as I call them, come with a template for drilling the holes. It's pretty straight forward, but the old saying measure twice.... drill once is definitely true. I ended up having to elongate one of my holes because I got in a bit of a rush. The part covers it up though.
One other note, if you have lid organizers they have to come off before installing these. If your lid organizers were installed with the double back tape that comes with them you might end up breaking them trying to get them off. I installed my lid organizers with velcro to make things easier. Just a thought.
