Well, I waited to get the correct intake pushrod that I needed, actually snuck over on duty this morning (not only different town, but different state) Anyway, got her all buttoned up and fired it up. Those cams make the tone a lot deeper on that fatcat from what I could tell, but of course I haven't heard it in months! As soon as we can get some 40 degree weather I will trailer it to the shop for a dyno and post up the results. To compare, I had the bike dyno'd just with the fatcat and A/C awhile ago so I will at least know what improvement the cam makes.
Congrats! Can't wait to hear your results. I stopped by the dealer and he priced out the stage 2 for me, and I just can't do it now. I'll have to suffice with the stage 1 and the chrome work. Hope you get some good weather soon. I found a dealer who has the manual and bought it today, hope to have it by Friday!
Dawg, arethose are the Zippers Red Shift 575 cams that you just put in? I was just talking to Jaime at FM about those today.I asked aboutthe S&S510G's and hementionedthe575'sas a possible option to run with his custom PCIII setup and that he "might" be working on some maps for them this spring. If you don't mind me asking, what did it set you back for the cams, lifters, pushrods? I was thinking I might try this install myself, with the help of a buddy of mine that has a backyard shop with the press and tools. Your thoughts?
