Congratulations and good wishes, Wallylach. The XLCH is sure a fun, fast ride, but there's no comparison to a slower tour on a leather couch with all the comforts of home!!
uhhhh, did you mean to title this thread 'road king classic'? they don't make the custom for 08... either way, congrats. love my road king (custom)
Which is sad, in and of itself. Customs were the best looking RK's I've ever had the pleasure of drooling over. I liked them better than my 2000 RK Classic personally.
Congrats to the OP on a great ride regardless. You won't be disappointed.
Hind sight being what it is I shoulda bought a standard Road King. I bought the custom. I wound up removing the wind deflector ( it deflected it alright, right into my FACE!) and i swapped over to painted bags. Add some fender trim and passing lamps and Ive got a standard with diferent floor boards and no windshield. Oh well now mine is unique lol. Thats what mom always said when other kids called me ugly too LMAO!

but thats one of the things that is best about the custom, its clean..... yes i took the wind deflector off mine too, but i did add a windshield. probably get a batwing fairing sometime this year too...
Congrats on your new RoadKing Wally. I know you will love it even more when "your name" is on the paperwork. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Went down today to take a look at a 2008 Road King Classic and WOW!!! The dealer came by and picked up my 2004 Sportster and I should have the RKC tomorrow. I'll be smilin' in my garage tomorrow night...
I own a rk custom, as most of you know... IMO, it looks much better than any of the other two rk's. Sure, I wish it had the hard painted bags, and I did add passing lamps... but I don't care for the sticker on the standard, and the classic doesn't have the painted bags, either. I am very happy with my bike... although, changing it over to be more of my ideal, is the fun part...
Congratualtions on your new road king... they are all kick @ss bikes... get us some pics when you can....
