Stage II has a deeper filter for more capacity...sticks out more.

You can use your stock cover on the Stage one, on theStage two you must use a larger cover an naturally the Stage two let's in more air.

I have a A/N stage II with my Rolling Thunder slip ons and a PCIII. When I installed them I had planned on future modifications. Anyway, when I took it to my local dealerfor service I told them i wanted it dynoed. I came out with 78 H.P. and 78 ft. lbs. torque. The tech doing the work claimed it was the fastest "STOCK" bagger he had ever ridden. Not sure if that is because of the breather or not but I like it.

Someone around here (I think it was nogood) did or had some study on the breather types.
Something like a stock engine can only take in 250 Cubic Feet of air a Minute and the Ness stage 1 flowed like 325 CFM.....
So with that regard, a stage 2 would be a waste of money (and leg space).

Something like that. Guess you'll have to do a search if you're interested...
