I live on a farm in SC need more light to watch for deer trying to attack me at night. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience using an h-4 bulb 80/100 watt instead of the 55/60 that comes stock. I don't wan to change out the entire light. I ran one in my 85 fxwg and no problems. Any suggestions?

I run a Hella H4 bulb.
Buddy bitches at me when he's out frontbecause it's so bright...and I run it on LO beam!
Thanks for the info. I had run Halogen passing lamps for awhile on the wg but I had to take them off kept blinding cars coming at me. There's not that much traffic out here at night. If they do flash at me I'll just put on the hi beam so they'll know what's up. I would rather pay $40. than $160. for the dual bulb set up from HD.
Thanks Harleypingman ! That ebay listing has the amp draw for the 80/100 watt bulb. 6.1 amps isn't bad for a low beam I'm not running anything else so the 6.1/7.6 amp draw will not put a strain on the charging system. If you think otherwise let me know.
