Just installed cruise on my '04 FLHRI a couple weeks ago. I was nervous about the install, but it was actually pretty straight forward. No real problems, just followed the instruction sheet. Took several hours, but most of that was in lengthening the wires. Previous owner changed the bars and the wiring runs through them, which required every wire to be extended a few inches. If you don't have that to worry about, it should be pretty simple.

Thanks Timhdfl = I have worked with the HD plugs and know how to take the wires out (that all by itself is a learning curve)... I will be installing the cruise in the next week or so...

Just finished the Cruise install - actually if was pretty simple - I had my wiring in my handlebar so that took the longest - I ended up pulling the radio to get the wires thru the bar. for those with external wires - its a simple job and having the cruise will be nice - had the toughest time installing the wires to the plug on the faring cap - for those of you that do not have a Service manual for your model bike - get that and a parts book - boy does that make life easier if you work on your own bike
