You can get "some" limited part numbers off the HDsite but I think they want you to come into
an actual dealer so they can gouge you , I mean assist you in person!

Once there, one of their highly skilled associates can guide you ..........wait, who am I kidding!

It would be a great idea to have this kind of info on-line. Who knows maybe HD will someday see the
real opportunity!!

Would be nice to be able to have the part numbers and shop out all
the parts you need for a project, without having to go to your dealer
and wait an hour for the pimple faced kid behind the counter to get it
figured out.

"Highly skilled associates" [?] lol, I went into the local HD shop, asked about frame protectors for a softail, the guy picks up the catalog and starts from the front, thumbing to the back, say's "well, i don't see it in here" never once did he look in the index. My question is, WHY DO THEY HIRE PEOPLE LIKE THAT? But, in all fairness, not all dealerships are like that, some of the help go overboard trying to help you.

Somewhere I saw some HD Parts CD's or DVD's and hadn't been able to locate them again. All I found was the $50 parts books.

It would be awesome if HD would put these online like a lot of other companies.

I think we all would like this "idea" as it would negate us having to drop the $50 for the parts book while also having to drop the $60 for the manual. "Highly Skilled Associates"! Yep, that's a funny one![sm=laughingsmilie.gif]

Bandit has microfiche for harleys up to 2002. http://www.bikebandit.com
Unfortunately the part #'s are not OEM, you can go thru the drawings and use as a reference.
