I have been looking at them as well. I have 2 concerns though.
1. I have a RK Classic, any issues with clearing the saddlebag lid when its open? I dont believe it opens like the Fiberglass Hardbags.
2. How do they stack up on room compared toa luggage rack with a nice size piece of motorcycle luggage. I can fit about 3 days or clothing for 2 people in my luggage. (Keeping the saddlebags clear for jackets and bike essentials)

i have the chopped tourpak, set up detachable. between the saddlebags and the tourpak, i had plenty of room for a weeks trip, with enough room for the ironbutt provisions (cooler with frozen gatorades, powerbars, etc). yes the saddlebag lids will hit the bottom of the tourpak (rk custom with hard leather bags), but it does not make it so that you can't get in there, and if it ever came down to it, you could detach the tourpak, load the bags, then put the tourpak back on (no, i have never needed to do this). and with the extra 3 inches the king gives you, you can store much more.
Skratch,
Is that a solo seat you've got on there? If so, can you descibe your set-up for the tourpak to align as a backrest for the rider? Pics would be great, too...
Thanks
I saw a used CVO at the dealership recently that had a leather wrapped King Tour Pack on it that would look great on a RKC. I have thought about buying a used/scratched Chopped Tour Pack and get it wrapped to go with the RKC style, should match well and give more room and function compared with the RKC King Pack the MoCo offers now, along with a better rest.
I have a King Tour Pak as well....wife likes it also :-). Couple of things: 1) mine as an LED light bar.. HD Dealer screwed up by putting the plug under the seat where it will connect, so to de-attach the Tour Pak is a pain in the butt, I needed two people to remove....now I moved the plug under tourpak for easy removal. 2) I also bought the Solo Tour-Pak kit to move the Tour Pak for a single rider (me) so that I have a nice backrest when wife is NOT tagging along. Great pleasure in having one. 3) the side bags are not effected by the Tour Pak they still open as wide as you want them to. 4)I also added the Tour Pak Premium Luggage Rack for extra space on long trips when we are two up....believe me ladies can't travel light !!!
Love it. But it is only on about 1/3 of the time. The wife won't ride with the backrest anymore, much prefers the extended armrests I have on the Tour Pak.
