RE: Is there any difference in the feel of ABS brakes
My buddy and I both bought 08 UC's in December, Mine had the ABS, his didnt. Ive ridden his and he has ridden mine. I will tell you that after riding his, i love the way the ABS feels.....its great...they do grab a little more...but ive already had em kick in several times....suprisingly. they're great and I wont have a touring bike without em.

Rob - the HD ABS self-tests but you dont feel any "brrrrrp" like you do in a cage. the ABS light blinks after you first crank your ride and until you get going 2-3mph. Then it's lights out and hope it works And it does work! A cage pulled in front of me at an intersection and i instinctively jumped on the brakes. I could feel them pulse and the bike did a real fast straight stop - saved my bacon.
RE: Is there any difference in the feel of ABS brakes
If your BMW had the ABS, some years of BMW had avery differentfeel than from
power assistedbrakes. The power assisted brakesassisted butWITHOUT applying additional pressure (if you just maintain the same grip). The BMWwouldcontinue to increase in stopping power even if you did not add pressure....As a result, some BMWs were getting dropped. Very different that HD Bremo.
