STUMPED-idle cable on an ultra
Trying to adjust the idle cable on my ultra after replacing the throttle and idle due to new bars. The manual states to disconnect the cruise control module and preform some checks with a multimeter between the "throttle roll off switch" and the other end of the wire at the module. How in the h e double toothpicks does the roll off switch work. It has two wires going to it from the module, but I don't see what makes and breaks contact once you roll outta the throttle. Any help is appreciated.[/align]

FWIW, when I changed cables on a bud's bike with cruise, never bothered resetting or whatever it was called for the roll off. It worked just fine by plugging the new cable in and going. I had him test it before he "needed" it.

When the switch closes it will kick off the cruise. it closes (compresses) when you manually decell with the cruise on for safety. in a panic it's easy to snap the throttle shut.
