Kickstand
After you get your new ride, you will hear a sound that may be very unfamiliar to you when putting it on the "stand".
you may hear a loud "snap".
Don't worry, it's just your sphinkter slamming shut the first time she rolls forward an inch with the stand down...
You can guess how I know...

Ya that jiffy stand freaked me out a couple times when i first got my H-D... It looks like it's going to roll forward and the stand just fold up, but it doesn't - there's a notch that it engages into that holds it in place. That's just how they're designed.
Thanks for all the great advice. When I was at the dealers, I went to put the bike back on the stand, and it rolled forward. My heart nearly jumped through my throat. I figured for sure it was going down and was going to do the domino effect with all the other bikes so close together.

The first time I put one on the stand, I had the same feeling. Hell I even think I pooped a little. HEHEHE you'll get use to it.
Congrats on your new ride and be safe.
