I have an 07 FLHR witha comfort stich seat. I am 5'8and was wondering if 16" apes would be too tall. I am lookingfor my hands not to go over my shoulder height?Any good advise would be helpful before I sink the big bucks.
I have 16s on my FLHRS. I am 6'2" tall and if I sit up straight my arms are level, but I rarely sit up that straight while riding. Oh yeah and I run a Mustang solo seat with riders backrest. A backrest is a great addition to a bike with apes because when ya get that kite affect it supports you so ya dont feel like youre hanging on for dear life.
Had 16" apes on an 02 roadking with stock seat, bars were as far forward as the windshield would allow. I am 5'9". When sitting up straight, hands were at about shoulder hieght. Seriously thinking about installing some on the SG.

U can do it. 16 apes with a hd rally runner seat 6' right about shoulder height would like to kick them up a liitle bit but mama like the windsheild,i only put on when she rides, cant argue she makes the payments.........
I have 18" apes, and am 6'1"... my hands sit right at shoulder height.. so, it really depends... I am more torso, than leg, so for me 16" would be lower than I would want...
