Getting ready to pull the trigger on some ape hangers for my bike. I'm pretty sure I will go with 16". Can't decide on either Carlini "1.25" Flyin Apes" or "1.25" Gangster Apes" what are some of your thoughts?
My ride is a 2011 FLHR I am going with a Mustang Day Tripper solo seat as well.
Both are great looking. The FlyIng Apes are around 1.5" higher than advertised so you are looking at 17.5". I don't believe that's the case with the Gangster Apes. The pullback is 5" more in the Flying Apes -- although you can roll the apes forward as much as you need for the desired pullback (if you are not using a windshield). SJ Ron

Davidsdad,
How high are those bars on your RK now?
They look like they match your RK very well. Will 16" put your hands above the screen?
I would've done gangster apes on mine but cheaped out and didn't want to spend the extra couple hundred for the Carlini's, so I have Wild1's on mine. I like the curved forward look of the gangsters.
I went with Gangster Apes, 16" I love them. I decided against the Flying apes because a guy on here was saying they had too much pull back for him and they crowded him, and I wanted to use my windshield with them as well. I really think they both look awesome though.
