Trailer isolator
Here is a trailer isolator that is on ebay if any one is looking for one. It is powered straight from the battery. My understanding is this is the best way. It is hard wired in but, you can put a quick disconnect in line somewhere. From what I have heard the hoppy's seem to burn up once in a while. IMHO

I'd be interested to know who the mfg is. I'm guessing there aren't that many different companies making them. And the msrp of $71 seems way high. I bought my Hoppe through Amazon.com for around $40, I think.

It is probably worth a try at 29.99 Our local auto parts has an isolator for 24.95 then they recomend you put a hoppy with it because it does not have the main power wire on the isolator. They couldn't tell me how much the hoppy was, but i'm sure it is more than 5 bucks
