will be dropping off the inner in the am qill be going color match on the inner and was wondering about the deflectors. My painter thinks it would look good and he said ji he painted the back side we dont have to worry about chips. I was leaning towards a smoke set. There is no charge for painting just materials. Looking for some input thanks
I had a set that I had painted on the backside but it was black pearl so you really couldn't tell the difference, with your blue you would definitely see it. It just depends on if you like that much blue or not.
Go for it--they aren't that expensive to replace if you don't like it and it'd be a nice detail--I'm pretty darn sure I've not seen painted wind deflectors. My inner fairing is vivid black with fine metal flake and my deflectors are dark smoked, but aren't on the bike much.
If he's shooting the deflectors, give him the screws to shoot as well. Post pics when done.
You've obviously made a decision; I would have recommended having the deflectors painted; like someone else already said, you can always put the smoke ones on if you don't like the outcome. Ilook forward to seeing the final product - please post pics.

Thanks for the idea. It was just in time as my fairing is going to the painter tomorrow or Friday.
no pics yet but it is going to look great the painted deflectors are transparent so I think they will work out. was told to get a new windsheild as ours has been abused so waiting on that they will get some pics
My inner and switch cap is headed to the paint shop in the morning. I've debated doing the deflectors too but can't decide! I think smoked on my bike might look better.
