I'm thinking of ordering the painted inner fairing and started thinking about something. How would a black pearl inner fairing look on a blue bike? I originally wanted a black pearl SG but they only had a blue one and I'm inpatient so I took it, but it has bugged me ever since. So maybe now is my chance to get a little black pearl on my bike. I mean, the current inner is black so I'm thinking it shouldn't look too bad...right?
Since your not sure, I would buy an inner and have it painted black. It would save you a bundle and if you decided you didn't like it, sell it to somebody and you might get most of your money back. If you buy harley, you will never get your money back should you not like it. You could then do what you want. Buy a harley in your color or keep the black.
I had my inner painted vivid black to contrast with the pacific blue pearl the rest of the bike is and am very happy with the looks of that.
I batted around matching the pacific blue vs. vivid black and I might have really liked that look also but have no complaints about the vivid black. I'm sure if you went that route and decided you weren't happy with it - it would be easy to resell the vivid black inner.
