leather jacket??
After looking through countless leather jacket sites I have found that about 85% of them are all selling the exact same jackets for almost the same prince on this site I found a few alternative choices and found one I liked good prices.

Without huge brass furniture grade zippers, your jacket won't stay with you long if you're down and sliding. Anything with nylon zippers or velcro don't belong on a bike. Small brass zippers are not up to the task either.
Those thin raggy waist belts that are sold on most other jackets succumb to road rash fast and leave you with your protection bunched up around your neck and head if sliding feet first. Langlitz waist belts remind me of my Granpa's thick razor sharpening belt he had at his barber shop. My belt is from 1969 and you still can't fold it in half.
Most other jackets are not extended on the lower back area to provide cover from wind and rain.
Ultimately, you have to decide what the mission of the jacket is. If you're looking to protect yourself and your family's welfare, you now know the answer. If however, you just want to look cool, go buy a cheap jacket like Fox Creek or Vanson or H.D.
BTW I consider the the CHP jacket made by San Diego leather that has been mentioned as second best and closest anyone has come to copying a Langlitz. I wouldn't trade a Langlitz for 5 of those.
I don't have a dog in this race and I am not affiliated with Langlitz in anyway. I have more leather then I'll ever need the rest of my life with 2 pairs of Langlitz pants ('77 and '02 models) and a '69 Columbia.
Good Luck
I have a Vanson but with all the raves about Fox Creek on this site I'll be sure to look at them for the next one.

Vanson jackets are the best I have used.

Check out Branded Leather. Pete will take care of you. Thick and heavy. Comes with a removable liner and two inside pockets. Also built in kidney belt.
Did you know Little Joe w/ HA Leathers. He rode out of the Fontana Ca. club. They are bad ***. His wife still sells leather under Little Joe's Leather out of Oregon.

If you ever get to come through Portland, stop in and meet this incredible family. Small shop, all hand-sewn goods. Really amazing stuff. The finest jacket I have ever owned.
Rode in a pistol pete for a couple of seasons, is a good jacket but the sleeves were a bit short for me.
The best jacket I have had is my FXRG midweight. I recommend it for all situations.
The Strongest suggestion I have in looking for a jacket is to make sure it has long enough sleeves whe you raise your arms and that they are made to not twist on your arms when you raise them (to riding position). Make sure it adjusts at the waist to keep air out (FXRG has a kidney belt). And really consider getting a jacket with the vents in the front and rear, You will definitely appreciate them in warm weather.
Buy a jacket that is made for riding, not just one that looks like a jacket to wear when riding.
Maybe someday they will make a Jacket without any care about advertisment, Then they will have a Bestseller in my opinion.
I like Barnys Leather here in Daytona..... http://www.barneysleather.com/
Nice jackets at good prices... I'm happy with mine and I'll buy again from them
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I didn't want to be a billboard for the company either, BUT
I found a HD jacket that is nearly blank. Only logo's are on the buttons.
It is the "nevada". I think they closed that style out, which was good for me onaconna I got it at about 40% off.
Check it out, you may get lucky...
Best jacket I ever owned.

BTW..I am in no way affiliated with Fox Creek Leather..just a very satisfied customer of thier "CHEAP JACKETS"
