I don't know about the RKC cruise but I did the cruise on my FLHX myself. It really isn't that big of a deal. Save the money. It can't be that much different. I am sure there is a lot of help on the forum. That is where I got my info.

I did it myself for a few reasons, but if money was the only reason then ide say 2 hours for the dealer is a bargain. Took me at least several hours with reading-up and takin my time plus a little back-trackin, it was a good experience..ect plus bought cc online.
2 hours is what my dealer charged me. It took a little over three to complete but they quited 2 and only charged me that. I bought the cruise for 20% off and the total was reasonable to me.
I didn't think cruise was that big of a deal when I bought my RK Classic, it was just part of the package. I'll never own another motorcycle without it now. You're gonna love it.
