And I didn't know there was a minimum on Live Free and Ride Badges. [sm=americanasmiley.gif]
Guess I got the quote wrong. I mean the "Live to ride. Ride to live"badges. It seems like every time I see those, they're on a bike that has hardly any miles. Just a pet peeve. I usually put about 8-10 thousand miles per year on my bike, and that's in a state that has about 6 months of real riding weather. I don't really understand those that have a bike for 3, 4, 5 years and have something like 1-2 thousand miles on their bike that they've spent $20,000 on! Never could figure that one out.
Actually BMW riders should wear that motto. Ever seen the odometer on BMW's? Some of them read into the hundreds of thousands of miles.
you can relocate the stock front turn signals on your bike for like all of $5 and some time in the garage. I have a classic but took my friends custom turn signals when he used the harley relocation kit and ditched my spotlights and stock pancake turn signals. I love the look of the pipes and constantly consider doing something like that. Did the trans bracket that came with the pipes mount right up or did you have to make your own transmission bracket? What model specific are they made for a softtail standard, fatboy....? Any pics of the bracket. I think your bike has a great muscle car look to it. Like a '69 camaro ss all black....simple but you just know it is mean. welcome aswell.

Adam,
Thanks for the compliments. The pipes are just stock. No fabs needed at all. The cost about $400. They are from Cycle Shack and they were made specifically for Harley touring bikes, not soft tails.[&:] And yes, I'm getting the turn signals moved soon.
I have the same bike myself with hardbags. I like the look of the custom. I added a La Pera seat. This seat looks AWESOME on Roadkings. Especially Customs. A low and sleek look with more comfort that the stock seat IMO.
BTW why do you care what OTHERS do on thier bikes. Just worry about yourself and enjoy riding.
Like I've said before, I don't care what anyone thinks. Honestly!I'm just curious to hear other's opinionssince mine is set up in a different way than most. I'm sure a lot of people look at it and say, "Aren't you going to add a.......
windshield
sissy bar
hiway pegs
handlebar streamers
led lights
25 pounds of chrome
Some folks look at my bar end mirros and don't even know what they are! They are quite common on European bikes. You should see what I had to do to get them to work on a Harley. No one makes them for 1" bars, so mine are actually $10 bicycle mirrors! I had to make my own rubber bushings. They work very well and they're so cheap that I keep an extra set in the saddle bags in case something happens to one. That being said, I've used these on three different bikes over the past four years without a problem.
For me, the stock beach bars really suck. Felt like I was pushing a wheel barrow. Ape hangers look cool, no doubt, but for me flat bars work best. I'm not into posing or even cruising. For me a fun day is being out with my brother putting 300-400 miles on twisty up and down B roads. I need bars that are performance oriented rather than looks oriented.
